WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE:

The Bible to be the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man.

There is one and only one living and true God who is made up of three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

That the Lord Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God by means of the virgin birth in order that He might reveal God and redeem man through His death on the cross, burial, and resurrection on the third day.  He is now seated in heaven at the right hand of God where He acts as an Intercessor and Advocate for believers.

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who was involved in creation and is currently involved in convicting the world of sin and righteousness and judgment.  He is active in the believer's conversion and growth.

That sign gifts (tongues, healing) were for Israel until the closing of the canon and have since ceased.

That Satan is a real personality, a fallen angel rebelling against God and His plans with a prepared place of eternal judgment awaiting him in God's plan.

In a literal six day creation

That man was created in innocence and by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless state and brought all mankind with him as their representative.

That man continues to sin, not just of constraint, but by choice and so all men are under just condemnation without defense or excuse.

That the salvation of sinners is divinely initiated and wholly of grace through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ who became the voluntary substitute for the believing sinner, the Just dying for the unjust.

That the salvation of sinners is available to all who are willing to repent and turn to Christ alone for their salvation.

The church is the body of Christ and is manifested through the local congregation of immersed believers associated by a covenant of faith, observing the ordinances of Christ, and serving one another and the community.

The local church to be freely self-governing, free of interference from any hierarchy of individuals or organizations.

The imminent return of Christ, to be followed by a seven year Tribulation period, then the second coming of the Lord to the earth to establish His millennial reign.  After this will be the Great White Judgment where the unsaved will be judged to eternal punishment and the saved to eternal life with God.
